Abstract

128,468. Sizaire, M. Sept. 12, 1917. Addition to 128,299. Valves; valve-gear.-A rotary cylindrical valve 3 controls air-inlet port 7 in the cylinder head, and a reciprocating sleeve valve 9 controls exhaust ports 11, 13 at opposite ends of the cylinder. In a multiple-cylinder engine, each valve 3 is connected to, or formed in one with, its actuating- spindle, the ends of which are provided with dog teeth 'for engagement with the spindle of an adjacent valve. The sleeve valve is actuated from the spindle of the rotary valve, preferably by a pair of short connecting-rods.
