Abstract

1283093 Two part couplings AMP Inc 19 May 1970 [13 June 1969] 30045/69 Heading H2E An electrical contact, 2, crimped to a wire, 4, has an injection moulded resiliently flexible annular collar 5 extending radially from the contact such that when the contact is inserted in a contact-receiving assembly 7 the collar engages the walls 6 sealingly. Withdrawal of the contact from the assembly 7 is prevented by cooperation between lance 8 and shoulder 9. The collar may taper towards its periphery or may be bulbous. A plurality of contacts may have a common collar (Fig. 3, not shown).
