Abstract

1,268,019. Tote boxes. MS INDUSTRIES Inc. 24 March, 1970, No. 14135/70. Heading B8P. A tote box includes bumber members 13 of resilient material on the end walls 11 of the box. Essentially each bumber member 13 comprises a flattened sleeve element, of the configuration shown in the Figure, extending from the top marginal edge of an end wall 11 downwards over about one half the depth of the box. The end and side walls 11 and 10 of the box slope downwardly and inwardly enabling a plurality of the boxes to be nested. In a preferred embodiment the box and the bumper members are moulded in one piece. In such a box the bottom 12 is provided with strengthening ribs. Alternatively the bumper members 13 may be made of metal and secured to the boxes during manufacture.
