Abstract
126,107. Hotchkis, M. H. Nov. 9, 1918. Draught-inducers.-High-pressure air is delivered through a series of nozzles arranged in the form of an upright or inverted cone or pyramid, or in stepped rows, below the chimney flue. Fig. 1 shows a series of nozzles b arranged around a central nozzle c at a lower level, the whole being supplied with air by a fan a. The central nozzle may be at a higher level than the outer nozzles. Fig. 4 shows a modified arrangement in plan, the nozzles being arranged in rows, with the'middle row d at a higher or lower level than the outer rows e. Fig. 6 shows a similar arrangement in elevation, with five rows of nozzles.
