Machine guns.-Relates to means for positioning the cartridges in the belt feed channel of the gun, and consists in placing across the middle of the gun a flat spring D to force the bases of the cartridges B in turn against the extractor face EX<2>. The spring also serves to counter thrust the cartridge when the extractor rises into engagement therewith. The pin C<2> prevents the cartridges being pressed rearwards too far.
