Liquids, excluding.-A bearing for an agitating-device for use in the washing of coal-tar and petroleum products &c. is provided with means for preventing the acids used from gaining access to the bearing surfaces. The bearing A, which rotates on a stationary pin E, is formed with a bell mouth C in which air is trapped and acts as a seal. Compressed air may be supplied by a lead-covered pipe H. Lubricant may be led to the bearing-surfaces by a pipe G and a passage through the pin E.
