Abstract
1,251,197. Box. TAYLOWE Ltd. 25 Nov., 1968 [24 Nov., 1967], No. 55862/68. Heading B8P. A folding box comprising four perpendicular bounding walls 1, 2, 3, 4, one of which is provided with a flap 5 and hinged thereto by a crease 6 to form the lid of the box. The lid, when closed, is supported by a plastics film which is joined to the lid and which has a groove 10 which sealingly surrounds the edge of the box opening. The outer well of the groove 10 is provided with a head 12 which co-operates, in the closed position of the lid, with a bead 13 on the walls 1, 2, 3. A bead 4 may be formed on the film adjacent the crease 6 to seat against the wall 4 in the closed position of the lid. All the walls may comprise flaps, in which case three of the flaps are bent into the box to strengthen the same (Fig. 5, not shown).
