Abstract
1,251,097. Coaxial connectors. A. ALFORD. 30 Oct., 1969 [16 Dec., 1968], No. 53215/69. Heading H2E. A coaxial connector (Fig. 1) comprises a cylindrical outer conductor 11 and an inner conductor assembly 14 supported in the outer conductor by an insulating bead 12 and insulating pins 15. The outer conductor incorporates a crenelated alignment ring 17 attached by a threaded collar 21. The inner conductor assembly (Fig. 2) comprises a stud 25 which is fixed in the main portion. A screw 31 screwed into the threaded core 27 of the stud and a compressed spring 30 keep a conducting sleeve 32 slidably in position on a shoulder 33 on the stud. Connection to the inner conductor of a similar connector occurs at the annulus 35. A coupling nut 22 maintains electrical connection of the outer conductors.
