Abstract

1,247,631. Ship's derricks. WARNOWWERFT WARNEMUNDE VEB. 27 Feb., 1970, No. 9623/70. Heading B8B. A ship's loading apparatus comprises two coupled derricks 1 each articulated about a horizontal and a vertical axis by a derrick heel socket 3 and interconnected by a guide cable 5. The guide cable 5 is reeved on the outsides of the derricks 1 to tackles 6, each with a pulley block 7 on one of the derricks 1 and a pulley block 8 on a point on an upright 2 spaced from the associated derrick heel socket 3. A pulley traveller 9 is arranged on the guide cable 5 and carries load falls 10 to a hook 11, Fig. 3, the load being moved by the two load falls 10. The derricks 1 are each pivoted by an hydraulic cylinder 12 and, in addition, each has a topping lift 13, Fig. 2 (not shown).
