Abstract
124,709. Caretta, E. March 25, 1918, [Convention date]. Framework.-A double T-section girder is formed with both surfaces of the flanges corrugated or grooved to form ribs extending longitudinally. Other ribs 3 may be formed on or near the edges of the flanges and may be provided with inwardly or outwardly projecting ribs 4<1>, 4. The flanges may be curved towards the web and may increase in thickness towards the junction with the web. The web may be perforated to reduce the weight. The invention is applicable to the construction of frames for aircraft.
