Abstract

1,245,510. Gas burner. K. VAN DER GIESEN. 28 Nov., 1969 [28 Nov., 1968], No. 58228/69. Heading F4T. A gas burner comprises a burner head 16 mounted on an air duct 17 supplied with fanblown air via an aperture 7, the head 16 surrounding a series of concentric tubes forming alternate annular gas ducts 1, 2, and air ducts 4, 5, 6 and a central tubular gas duct 3, the gas being discharged transversely to the main direction of air flow through gas outlets 14, flanges 15 being arranged around the gas ducts 1, 2, 3 immediately upstream of the gas outlets 14 and projecting into the air duets 4, 5, 6 to ensure thorough mixing of the gas and air. The gas is supplied through a pipe 9 and connecting pipes 10, 11, 12, 13, and the air flow controlled by means of an adjustable perforated plate 8. The central gas duct 3 may act as a pilot burner, in which case plates 19 extending transversely across the air ducts 5, 6 ensure smooth crosslighting.
