Abstract

Burner for kilns, esp. rotary ones has a fuel supply pipe with an outlet nozzle and an air swirler mounted centrally in a primary air duct. This duct is mounted off-centre in the secondary air duct, located by webs. This delays secondary air involvement in the combustion process and results in a longer, more even temp., flame. Fuel outlet nozzle axis and axis of the space into which the burner fires co-incide. Flow regulating devices are fitted in the air supply pipes to the burner, the device in the secondary line at least being motorized. The axial position of the primary air swirler can be adjusted.
