Abstract

1,237,989. Fluid pressure lifting devices. SUSPA FEDERUNGSTECHNIK G.m.b.H. 2 Dec., 1969 [3 Dec., 1968], No. 58766/69. Heading B8J. A lifting device with a pressure gas or pressure gas and liquid filling for the stepless height adjustment of table tops or chair seats, comprises a double tubular housing 11 of two concentric steel tubes 12, 13 closed at one end by a double plug 14 and at the other by a simple plug 15 through which a piston-rod 18, attached to a piston 16 sealingly sliding in the tube 12, sealingly passes. Communication between the chamber 28 in front of the piston 16 and the chamber 42 behind the piston 16 is controlled by a release pin 22 which forms a blocking device. When the pin 22 is pushed in, fluid can pass between the chambers 28 and 42 through bore 31; groove 29 on the pin 22 which bridges lower seal 27; by-pass 21; flow opening 36; annular chamber 34 between the tubes 12, 13; bore 43; chamber 41 and bore 40.
