Abstract

1,206,556. Valves. E. F. DAWES. 21 April, 1969 [29 April, 1968], No. 20214/69. Heading F2V. A valve suitable for use in gas chromatography has a glass body provided with concentric inlet and outlet tubes 12, 10 and a diaphragm 21 which is deformable by threaded plug 23 into engagement with a planar seat 15 inclined at between 45 and 89 degrees to the tube axis. The plug moves in a cap retained by a split sleeve 18.
