Abstract

1,235,412. Vapour depositing alloy coatings. JONES & LAUGHLIN STEEL CORP. Jan.10, 1969, No.1590/69. Heading C7F. A moving strip of e.g. steel, is coated by evaporation with metals in crucibles 2, 3, which are so arranged to give a coating of metal A, e.g. Zn, an alloy of metals A, B and metal B, e.g. Mg. The strip may be precoated with Zn. The strip is heated to 520‹F. immediately prior to or after coating.
