Abstract

123,409. Wells, H. M., and Southcombe, J. E. Feb. 23, 1918. Lubricants.-An emulsion for cooling and lubricating engine cylinders comprises about 90 to 95 per cent. water and the rest mineral oil, fatty acid, and resin in the proportions 85, 5, and 3 parts respectively; the whole is rendered slightly alkaline by caustic soda, potash, or ammonia.
