Jet-wheels; cooling parts; working-fluid supply. -In an internal-combustion turbine wherein the combustion chamber is formed by a stator pocket A registering with a rotor pocket B, a pipe D supplies gas direct to the pocket B and by way of a groove C in the rotor to the pocket A, and after ignition by a plug. H the gas exhausts through a pipe F, subsequent rotor pockets E evacuating any unexhausted gas left in the pocket A. A number of sets of pockets may be co-axially arranged along the rotor and stator. Cooling air may be drawn through the rotor by forming the spokes as inclined fan blades.
