1,232,949. Laminated filter material. BAYERISCHE WOLLFILZFABRIKEN K.G. OFFERMANN, ZEILER, SCHMID & CO. 23 April, 1968 [25 April, 1967], No. 49329/70. Divided out of 1,230,408. Heading B5N. [Also in Divisions D1 and B1] A laminated material comprises first and second batts of felted or unfelted material needled to opposite sides of a reinforcing layer formed of superposed first and second woven or unwoven scrims, threads of the first scrim being obliquely inclined with respect to threads of the second scrim. The scrims may be formed of synthetic fibres, e.g. acrylonitrile polymer, or natural fibres, e.g. wool or cotton. The warp and weft threads of each scrim may be perpendicular or obliquely inclined with respect to each other. Each batt may be of wool or synthetic material and the fibres may be randomly arranged or all parallel or arranged in two or three groups of parallel fibres which are mutually inclined.
