Abstract

1355351 Multiply fabrics PASOLDS Ltd 3 March 1972 [3 March 1971] 5912/71 Heading D1K A composite knitted fabric comprises two layers of interlocked fabric each knitted of at least two yarns and the two layers being connected by one or more yarns knitted into the fabric and extending between the two layers the needle loops of one of the fabric layers extending through respective connecting loops of the interconnecting yarn. As shown the fabric comprises one layer formed of yarns 4, 5 and a second layer of yarns 6, 7. Loops 8 extend across from one layer to the other and their general direction may be other than perpendicular to the plane of the fabric. Loops from layer 2 to layer 3 may be drawn across instead of or in addition to the loops 8. The outer layer may be of white yarns and the inner layer of dark yarns or the outer layer may be of stronger yarns than the inner layer.
