Abstract

1,030,674. Knitting. B. PFROMMER. Dec. 11,1962 [Dec. 12,1961(2)], No. 46654/62. Heading D1K. A two ply fabric, wherein in one course one ply A is knitted from a group of threads each of which floats over one or more needle loops formed by one or more than one other thread of the group, comprises a binding thread connecting the plies A, B by forming loops like tuck loops either in both plies A, B or in one ply A, the thread lying in plating relationship to the needle loops in the other ply B. Ply B may also be formed from a group of threads forming needle loops connected by floats. The "tuck loops" may be associated with all the needle loops of each ply in a particular course or only selected needle loops of one or both plies. When the binding thread is lying in plating relationship to course B it may form "tuck loops" associated with all, Fig. 3, or only some of the needle loops of ply A.
