Abstract
1,231,573. Plant Receptacles. J. T. JENKINS. 23 May, 1968 [23 May, 1967], No. 23913/67. Heading A1E. [Also in Division E1] A prefabricated wall panel 2 is formed with a recess 8 along one margin to receive an edge element of a cloche. The recess 8 is defined by parallel flanges 6 projecting from the upper margin of a main planar part 4, side flanges 10, with bolt hole 16 for joining a series of panels, being provided, in addition to bottom flanges 12. Similarly, flanged end panels 18, having bolt holes 20, may form a closed trough, e.g. for containing soil, and cross ties (22), Fig. 2 (not shown), may be provided at intermediate joints between the panels 2, or when the panels abut against an existing wall forming an end closure. A layer of simulated brickwork or the like 14 imparts a decorative finish to the panels 2, 18. The cloches, possibly of inverted U-section, have outward flanges (36), (36a), Fig. 3 (not shown), which engage with the recesses 8, 8a of the wall panels, securing bolts (40) being optionally provided.
