955,938. Linings for watercourses. RIVER & SEA GABIONS (LONDON) Ltd. Oct. 5, 1962 [Oct. 5, 1961], No. 37812/62. Heading E1H. A unit to be erected into a rectangular container to be filled with stones and used as a lining for a watercourse comprises a metal mesh rectangular sheet forming a bottom panel 1 and side panels 2 and 3 and transverse metal mesh rectangular panels 10 secured to the panel 1 at equal intervals, each panel 10 being bent L-shaped to form a partition 15 between adjacent cells and a top closure 16 for one of the cells. The arrangement provides for the panels to be manufactured as flat units and bent and erected on site. The metal mesh may be coated e.g., with polyvinyl chloride.
