The strips are secured on at least two opposite sides by engagement of slots in their ends with corresponding slots 7 in edge strips 6. The depth of the corresponding slots in the strips are such that the "egg crate" strips of adjacent panels are closely spaced or abutting. When only two opposite edge strips 6 are associated with each grid, the end strips are permanently secured to the edge strips. However where edge strips are provided on all four sides, they are spot welded at the corners and the grid strips are held by engagement of the slots. Apertures 8 may be provided for hangers.
