Abstract

1363368 Suspended ceilings M C DEJONGE 10 March 1972 [31 March 1971] 11438/72 Heading E1W A suspended ceiling, formed of panels of intersecting strips in an "egg crate" construction, has channel shaped framing members 3 formed at their ends with two hook like projections. These projections engage in slots 22 formed between the ends of similar transverse framing members 4 so forming a ceiling in which each framing member 4 is substantially equal to the length of two panel sides and the ends of the members 4 extending in one direction being supported in the centre of the members extending in the other direction. Spring strips 9, 24 may be provided to bias the hooked ends into the slots 22. Hangers are provided at the ends of the framing members extending in one direction and at the midpoint of members extending in the other. The panels may be square or rectangular.
