1483822 Joining plates to form walls VITKOVICE ZELEZARNY A STROJIRNY KLEMENTA GOTTWALDA 14 Nov 1974 [17 Nov 1973] 49237/74 Heading F2M [Also in Division E1] The straight or curved wall of a tank, bin, workshop or dwelling is built up from plates or panels 1-2a arranged in overlapping courses and interconnected by bolts or rivets through aligned holes in adjacent plates. Each of the similar plates in a course has a rectangular recess 10, 11 out from one pair of diagonally opposite corners and has one vertical edge overlapped by an adjacent plate and the other vertical edge overlapping the next adjacent plate. The recesses of each plate 2 allows the diagonally adjacent plate 1a of the adjacent course to interengage at the junction of four plates and lie in the same plane. In this way the joint between four panels is only three panels thick. Packing may be present between the plates which plates may be of metal
