Abstract

1,222,350. Impact fuzes. NORDARMATUR A.B. 16 June, 1969, No. 30342/69. Heading F3A. An impact fuze for an explosive projectile which is sensitive to impact against loose snow but resists actuation by impinging raindrops along its trajectory comprises an impact plate 2 connected by a rod 3 to a striker point (not shown) and which upon impact actuates the rod to penetrate and ignite a percussion cap, and a membrane 5, the edge 4 of which is folded up so that the membrane forms a shallow bowl in which a plate 6 is placed, the plate 6 having a thickness greater than that of the membrane and having at least one small opening 7. The folded edge 4 of the membrane may be turned over the plate to form a unit with the plate.
