Abstract
1533726 Projectile fuzes DIEHL 28 June 1976 [11 Aug 1975] 26764/76 Heading F3A A piezo-electric element 7 in a projectile fuze is protected against the impact of raindrops by a deformable element 6 which rests against a partition 12 and damps a piston 4 if the piston is displaced by the impingement of raindrops. The element 6 is in the form of a sleeve, whose wall thickness may increase towards the rear, or a cone or a cylinder. The sleeve and cone consist of PTFE or polytetrafluoroethylene-perfluoropropylene and the cylinder consists of polyurethane foam.
