[Class 9 (i)] A fuze for bombs, projectiles, flares, &c., comprises a core of slow-burning material a and a metallic covering d with at least one side or edge thinner than the remainder. This thinness ensures that as the core burns the flame passes uniformly through the thin wall and can pass at the predetermined position to a fuze h for exploding the bomb or the like.
