Abstract

1,218,925. Wire fencing. SWYFTITE Ltd. 6 June, 1968 [7 June, 1967], No. 26279/67. Heading E1B. Wire fencing comprises a plurality of spaced wires 10 and a length of wire mesh 11 secured together, and to brackets 13 welded to intermediate metal post 12, by droppers comprising a wire locating member having a plurality of pairs of spaced loops in which the wires 10 are secured by a locking member 15, the locking member also passing through the wire mesh 11 and the brackets 13. Droppers are provided at positions other than adjacent intermediate posts. The fence is connected at intervals to main posts which have ground anchors whereby tension can be applied to wires 10. The wire mesh need not extend the full height of the fence.
