Abstract
919,606. Lattice wire fence posts. INDUSTRIA PRODOTTI SIDERURGICI S.p.A. Nov. 16, 1960, No. 39426/60. Class 45. A fence post consists of a sell-supporting lattice wire structure welded, brazed or similarly fixed together. Preferably the post is constructed from a pair of wires 1, 2 bent into hairpin shape and welded together at the bend, preferably at right angles to each other, the adjacent upright portions being connected by zigzag shaped wires 8-11 or a spiral, welded, brazed or otherwise secured in place. Horizontal stiffeners in the form of metal plates or wire frames may be provided alternatively and the post may be made from wire mesh having uniform or non-uniform spacing and it may have a pointed or curved top. The ends of the wires may be anchored in concrete.
