Abstract

1,048,439. Fence posts. SWYFTITE Ltd. June 17, 1965 [April 14, 1964; June 22, 1964], Nos. 15324/64 and 25638/64. Heading E1B. A post for wire fencing comprises a pair of angle irons 10 interconnected by spacers 11, and is supported by a ground anchor 12, one or more stays 14, and a tie bar 18, holes 21 in the tie bar allowing adjustment thereof. As shown the stays 14 are connected by a member 16 resting on wooden strips 17, and the anchor 12 is secured by ground pins 13. The post may be connected to the anchor 12 either pivotally or rigidly, and in the latter case the stays 14 are telescopic. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), a corner post is supported by two stays and two tie bars arranged at right angles. The fence wires are passed through the openings in the post, or around rollers.
