962,556. Shuttering for casting columns; tubular metal bars. C. I. WILLIAMS. Aug. 29, 1960 [June 22, 1960], No. 29689/60. Headings E1K and E1S. A clamp for shuttering for a column having four or more sides comprises angle iron arms 15 along each side overlapping at the ends where they are secured together. In Fig. 1 each clamp comprises four angle irons 15 each mounted on a pivot 16 on a corner post 11 one of a number of notches 19 of one projecting end engaging a notch in the projecting end 17 of the adjacent member 15. The corner post 13 against which the shuttering P fits comprises an angle member 11, Fig. 4 bolted to a channel member 13. In Fig. 5 angle irons 24 are welded together to form an L-shaped member 23 and notches 26 on one member engage notches 26 on an inverted member to surround and clamp a shuttering. In a further modification, Figs. 9, 10 (not shown) four L-shaped members 23 are arranged to form a square with their arms parallel and overlapping and clamped by plates bolted to the end of ties traversing the shuttering.
