Abstract

The movable electric fence includes upright supports (1) made of plastic material through which a metal wire passes. These are pushed into the ground, and may be from 5 to 15 metres apart. The fence itself comprises a number of parallel wires (2) which are not electrically connected together along their length. These are flexible and pref. comprise galvanised iron, or stainless steel braid or twisted wire. They are attached to the upright support posts either by being included in the original moulding, or by fitting into notches provided for this purpose. The wires are held parallel between the main support posts by vertical plastic bars (3). These are between 50 cm and 5 m apart, and serve to hold the wires the set distance apart, and make rolling and unrolling the length of fencing easier.
