Abstract

1336388 Fencing R C PELARD 30 July 1971 [14 Aug 1970] 36003/71 Heading E1B A fence comprises a flexible strip 1a strengthened along its edges by being bent around wires 2a secured to intermediate parts 5 by wire loops 7a passing through holes in the strip and connected to wires 6 around the post. The strip may be aluminium or plastics reinforced with fabric. The wires 2a may project beyond the strip as shown and be tensioned by turnbuckles 4 or separate further wires may be looped through holes in the end of the strip and attached to the turnbuckles. Posts may be formed of wood, metal, plastics or concrete and formed with slots for passage of the strips or holes for the passage of wires. Adjustable brackets including insulating pads, if the wire is to be electrified, may be provided on the posts to grip the strips adjacent the slots. The strip may be ribbed for additional strength.
