Abstract

The extruded plastic fence post consists of a core (1) with a hole (2) passing through it and four arms extending from it. A metal reinforcement bar (4) is driven through each arm at the maximum distance from the central core. These bars are of the square twist grip type, giving improved adhesion to the plastic and avoiding the need for any additional fastening. The lower part of the post can be pointed to facilitate its entry into the ground. Wires can be fixed to the post at any height by means of an attachment which dovetails onto the end of any one of the four arms of the post. It is therefore not necessary to drill holes and the height of the wire can be readily adjusted.
