Abstract

620,135. Fencing; gates. MORRIS, G. A. Feb. 1, 1946, No. 3206. [Class 45] [Also in Group X] A lattice-structure for use as a fence or gate or for reinforcement of concrete plaster and other materials comprises bars of uniform cross-section pivotally secured together and each having a central flat portion with an arcuate section flange on each side. As shown, a number of lattice-bars 10 are pivotally connected at points 11 by eyelets 35, Fig. 3, integral projections 36, Fig. 6, 38, Fig. 7, bolts, or other suitable means. A post consists of two members 14, Fig. 2, having a crosssection similar to the lattice-bars and held together by nuts and bolts 17, the curved ends 15 of these members engaging protruding heads 16 on the end pivots of the lattice structure or clips 41, Fig. 8, secured to the structure. The posts are removably supported in anchor members each comprising a vertical section 19 and a horizontal section 20 with a hole to take the post. Top and bottom rails 34 of flat strip, secured to the lattice by eyelets or bolts, may be provided. A gate 23 of similar lattice construction has vertical end members 24 each having lateral arcuate extensions 26. The gate pivots on hinge members 28, 42, bolted to the top and bottom of a gatepost. Angular posts of similar construction. are described.
