In a panel system, each panel I is of elongate form with a cross section providing legs 1b with inwardly bent, upwardly stepped marginal portions presenting shoulders 1c and is secured beneath rails 3 extending perpendicularly to the length of the panel by clips 2 each capable of engaging both a rail 3 and the inwardly bent portions of the legs 1b, the clip being displaceable along the length of the rail and along the length of the panel. The system may also comprise members 6, intermediate the panels 1, which have outer regions 6a capable of engagement within the step defining the shoulders Ic, and such intermediate members may have parts which may be in the form of nozzles, for example for a ventilated ceiling.
