Abstract

1,090,461. Brackets and racks. P. BLEAKMAN. March 1, 1965 [Nov. 27, 1963], No. 46949/63. Heading A4B. A storage or display fitting comprises a rigid rectangular panel 1 formed integrally with a plurality of identical, parallel, dovetail channels 2 in which brackets 8 are anchored selectively along the length of the channel 2. Each bracket 8 is formed with a dovetail head portion 11 which is wedged in the channel 2 and with ears 13 which bear on the floor of the channel 2. The panel 1 is slidably engaged in upper and lower U-section rails 3, 4. The upper rail 3 may be secured in spread relation to a wall. The lower rail 4 may be secured to the floor or supported on adjustable vertical legs. Alternatively, the fitting may be free standing on splayed legs whereby brackets are fitted in channels 2 on both sides of the panel 1. Means may be provided along the side edges of the panels 1 to facilitate interlocking of adjacent panels.
