Abstract

1,168,158. Shelving. S. B. MARCO. 29 June, 1967 [11 July, 1966], No. 30007/67. Heading A4B. A shelving assembly comprises a plurality of uprights 1 each provided with a longitudinal opening 2 in one face and a longitudinal channel 3 in the opposite face, and a shelf bracket 7-11 having a port 9 which is slidable along the channel 3 and is secured at a selected height by screws passed through the opening 2, through a selected hole 4 in the channel 3 and into a hole 10 in the bracket. The bracket includes an L-shaped part 7, 8 engaged beneath the corner of a downwardly flanged shelf (16) the flanges on the longitudinal edges (17) of the shelf having inturned free edges to define a groove to receive one limb 8. The shelf flanges may have holes to receive screws passed through the opening 2 and a hole 4. In a modified bracket (Fig. 3) to be carried by an intermediate upright 1, two L-shaped bars (12, 13) support the ends of adjacent, aligned shelves. The opening 2 is subsequently covered by a trim strip.
