Abstract

1,186,956. Shelving. D. M. JAMES. 1 Oct., 1968, No. 46629/68. Heading A4B. An arcuate section upright 1, with spaced slots (5) to receive the hooked ends of shelf brackets, is secured to a wall 4, with its side edges 1A spaced from the wall 4, by screws 3 passed through holes 2 in the upright 1 and through holes (7) in the webs 6A of U-shaped spacers 6 associated one with each hole 2. The holes 2 in the upright 1 are countersunk to define projections 9 on the inner face of the upright 1. The projections 9 locate the free edges 6B of the spacer 6 against lateral displacement.
