Abstract

1403281 Bracket supports M STRASSLE 2 April 1973 [14 April 1972] 15681/73 Heading A4B A stand comprises brackets 7 with hooked ends engaged in apertures 6 provided in a column 1, Figs, 1, 2, comprising a central tube 2 of rectangular cross-section, vertical ribs 3 on the exterior of the tube 2, and flanges 4 on the ribs 3 extending parallel to the tube 2, the apertures 6 being provided at spaced intervals in at least some of the ribs 3. Further apertures 9 having double the width of the apertures 6 may be provided in the tube sides, the further apertures 9 selectively receiving two side by side brackets. In another embodiment, Fig. 5, the tube 2" has corner projections 10 with a wall also formed with apertures to receive brackets 7. Other embodiments of column include further ribs and flanges intermediate the corners of the column. The brackets may be L-shaped Figs. 8, 9 (not shown).
