1412389 Partitions R THOMPSON 24 Jan 1974 03408/74 Heading E1W A partition with a free upper and lower edge comprises a post 12 with tubular ends, panels 14 respectively having vertical edges engaging the post, upper stringers 16 overlying the upper edges of the panels and interlocking at their ends with the upper tubular end of the post, the upper stringers being clamped to the post by a screw means 20 and lower stringers under the lower edges of the panels interlocking with and clamped to the post in the same way as the upper stringers. The lower screw clamping means may be provided with a screw threaded vertically adjustable foot. The panels may be curved and shelf supporting brackets may engage between adjacent panels hooking into apertures 86 in the posts.
