Circular-flow type; reversing.-A flanged rotor 5 has peripheral buckets 8 formed on the inner face of the flange 7, and the motive fluid is delivered from one or more nozzles 11 on one side of the buckets and discharged from the other side into re-directing chambers 12 having guide-vanes 12<a> which return the fluid to the buckets, through which it flows a second time and in a reverse direction from that of its first passage through them. An additional set of buckets may be formed on the outer face of the Range, and may face in an opposite direction to the first set so as to be suitable for reversing.
