The turbine stages are connected by passages k, l cast in one piece with the casing. A separate low-pressure turbine may be arranged on the propeller shaft. Modifications are described using double reduction gear, and three or four turbines may be arranged in a single casing. Fig. 7 shows casings u, v, each containing two stages connected to a low-pressure turbine w.
