Exhaust gases, discharging.-A submarine propelled by two sets of universally pivoted tractor screws driven by compressed fluid acting on archimedean screws, has two inclined keels 28 forming a trough, into which the exhaust air is discharged at its forward end, the air re-entering the vessel, after washing, through a normally open man-hole 25 adapted to be closed by a hinged cover 26.
