Abstract

1,191,905. Door frames. PROJETPLAST. 13 June, 1967, No. 27335/67. Heading E1J. A door frame comprises two rectilinear metal jambs each made up of two or more longitudinal sectional parts 4, 6, the part 4 being adapted to receive the end of a partition &c. 5 and the part 6 to receive the door 7, the jamb extending between and fixed to the floor and ceiling without any crossbar, the space above the door being filled by a panel (12, Fig. 1) the lower side of which is rabetted to function as a stop for the upper edge of the door. The hinges are secured to the stile 6 by nuts 14 and a resilient seal strip of plastics material 15 provides a stop for the side of the door and acts as a sound barrier and damper.
