Abstract

The fastening arrangement is used on plastics profile frames for doors and windows which have hinges connecting the fixed and moving frames. The hollow frame profile has internal metal strips on the profile walls adjacent to the hinge. These strips have tapped holes for hinge fastening bolts. The fastening arrangement design allows for slight free movement between the plastics material and the hinges or fastening strips, while maintaining initial accuracy of of dimensions. Plastics profiles are produced readily and without special safety measures. The metal strips (5, 6) for holding hinges (3) are held by screws and spacing washers (9) whose thickness corresponds to the plastics wall thickness. [DE1810224B2]
