Abstract

1365535 Door and window frames RUDOLF HAUSERMANN AG 11 Nov 1971 [13 Nov 1970] 52383/71 Heading E1J A two part door or window frame comprises two sections each having mutually perpendicular first and second limbs, one first limb 3 being a U-sectioned member embracing the other first limb 4, the limb 4 having a flange 12 parallel to the U base 11, the flange 12 being screwed to the base 11 to thereby clamp the second limbs 5, 6 with resilient sealing strips 16 to opposed wall surfaces of the door or window opening. The rough door or window opening may be faced with wood or plastics before inserting the frame. Mastic 15 may adhere the U-sectioned member to the wall. The base 11 of the U acts either as a door stop or a guide for a sliding door.
