Abstract

1,183,775. Printing apparatus. AKERLUND & RAUSING A.B. 17 June, 1968 [19 June, 1967], No. 28801/68. Heading B6C. [Also in Division B8] Proofs are obtained from printing surfaces 7 on etched or engraved plate 6 by inking the plate 6 and moving carriage 5 over the plate 6, guided by rod 4 and track 14. Doctor 10, which may be a spring steel blade, removes surplus ink from the plate 6 and resilient impression cylinder 11 forces paper 17 from roll 16 into contact with that part of plate 6 which lies beneath cylinder 11, after which the paper is lifted away from the plate 6 by line 19. Sheets of paper, plastics material or aluminium foil and webs of plastics material or aluminium foil may be used in place of the paper 17.
