Abstract
117,553. Wolseley Motors, Ltd., Remington, A. A., and Reeve, E. Nov. 5, 1917. Valve-gear.-An overhead cam-shaft J is driven through toothed gearing H', H from a vertical shaft F geared to a spindle B by wheels G', G. The spindle B is driven from the crank-shaft by a chain D. The wheel H is free to slide upon its shaft F, and the spindle B is prolonged to carry a pulley M for actuating a cooling-fan. A modified construction is described in which the driving-chain imparts motion to an auxiliary shaft for actuating accessories, e.g. a cooling-fan.
